B.Sc.(Computer Science)

The B.Sc., (Computer Science) major programme was started in 1997 The Department has been producing exemplary results right from its inception. The Department constantly concentrates in the overall development of students. So far 18 batches of students have successfully completed their graduation. Many students have joined their higher studies and have been well placed.

B.Sc.(Information Technology)

The B.Sc Information Technology Course was started in the year 2000-01. Since then, the Department has produced around 600(16 batches) Information Technology graduates who are well placed in India & Abroad. The Department has been producing excellent results over a period of 15 years. The Department has been successfully functioning with a well equipped Computer Laboratory, and a Department Library. The Department has adequate number of rooms to accommodate 150 students and 4 faculty members.

B.Sc.(Maths with Computer Application)

The Department of Mathematics (Computer Application) was established in the year 2010. The Under Graduate programme started were instituted in 2010. Since then, the Department has completed four batches and produced more than 100 students awarded degree. Our department graduates were well placed in and around India. The Department has been producing excellent results over a period of 6 years. The Department has been successfully functioning with a well equipped Computer Laboratory, and a Department Library. The Department has adequate number of rooms to accommodate 120 students and 4 faculty members.

B.Sc.(MicroBiology)

The Under Graduate Microbiology course was started in the year 1994 and The Post Graduate Microbiology course was started in the year 2000.

Bachelor of Computer Application

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) major programme was started during 2010 with Maths / Accountancy as Ancillary subjects. The Department has been producing exemplary results right from its inception. The Department is constantly concentrating on the overall development of students. So far 5 batches of students have successfully finished their graduation. Many students have placed in prestigeous MNC’s companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro and other premium MNC’s.

B.Sc.(Electronic & Communication)

The Department (B.Sc Electronics) was started during the Year 1996-1997, as the first college in Madurai,Kamaraj University area Since then the department has been successfully offering courses to cater to the needs of Electronics Industry. The Course was changed into B.Sc Electronics & Communication in the Year 2002-2003. M.Sc Electronics & Communication was introduced in the Year 2012-2013 with dedicated lab facilities. The Department has adequate number of rooms and Laboratories to accommodate students and Staff.

B.Com.(CA)

The Department of B.Com was started in 1995, B.Com (CA) in 2000 & M.Com (CA) was started in 2003. Our department envisages the life time value of the students by providing excellence in education in the fields of Commerce and Computer Applications. Apart from theoretical studies, students have to undergo outside the campus to gain practical exposure on various areas like marketing, finance and information technology. They also undertake a project based on their interest to gain knowledge in the related areas.

B.Sc(Physics)

Master of Business Administrations

Two – year full time MBA, an all inclusive programme integrates Business theory, Critical skills and Practical application through hands-on experiences and activity based learning. The MBA Programme is affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University, Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The Department of Business Administration (DOBA) has been successfully offering the BBA Programme since 1972 to help build the nation in its march towards Economic resurgence. The Department of Management Studies (DOMS) started the MBA programme in 1994 with the approval of AICTE. DOMS has adopted time honored as well as innovative methods to metamorphose the student material into an effective managerial material within a short span of two years. In addition to the curriculum, personality development programme and counseling are organised to enable us to achieve the above objective.
The department provides sound infrastructure with eminent and well experienced faculty. Almost all members of the faculty have industrial experience spanning to decades. The rich background enables them to illustrate each theory and principles taught with examples from practical experience which is of paramount importance to the students. In addition to the above, to update the students with the current industrial scenario, the Department of Management Studies also brings a number of personalities from the industry as visiting lecturers.

Master of Computer Applications

The MCA Programme was started in Aug. 1998 with an approval of AICTE and the affiliation of Madurai Kamaraj University. We got an Autonomous status in the year 2011. Our Department has separate Computer Lab with well equipped systems and Internet connection. MCA Library has a wide range of Computer Science Books, IEEE Journals and E-Books.

B.Sc. (Biochemistry)

The B.Sc Biochemistry programme was started in the Year 1993 with Chemistry and Biology as Ancillary subjects and has produced a number of undergraduates who are well placed in various fields. So far, 24 batches of students have successfully graduated. Another arm was added to the Department in the form of a UGC sponsored course in Biotechnology, in 2002. M.Sc Biotechnology was commenced in 2005.
